I think Joe Girardi will be the one to take over the Marlins. Jeffery Loria's a New York guy and it'd make all the sense in the world if he hired Girardi over Macha.
Macha fucked up. He over-valued himself. Walking away from a 3-year, $2.6 million offer? Are you shitting me? If he doesn't get the Tampa Bay job (Go Wash!), he won't be managing in the bigs next season. And it serves him right.
