-Cliff Pennington was 3-6, raising his season average to .296. He also made his second error of the season.
-Tony Evans, who joined the Oakland organization earlier this month from the Sioux City Explorers (Northern, Independent), allowed just one earned run on five hits and one walk, while striking out three, over seven innings. His record is now 4-0 with a 1.32 ERA. Too bad he's 25 and only in A-ball.
